Families in Recession
Economic hard times and the slow recovery have placed enormous financial and psychological strains on American families, and parents are now demanding answers from the candidates running for President. A new survey from Parents and the Center for the Next Generation finds that every facet of modern family life has been impacted – from education to health care to after-school activities. The pressures are so intense that a fifth of parents surveyed said they would not have another child. What a large majority of parents do want, according to the survey, is for President Obama and Governor Romney to explain just how they would address these difficult issues affecting families.
