Back to Next Generation

Justine Hebron

Justine Hebron comes to Next Generation from an unlikely source: the motion picture industry. She spent many years in Los Angeles and on-location as a Production Coordinator on feature films such as The Replacement Killers (Chow Yun-Fat, Mira Sorvino) Mystery Men (Ben Stiller, Geoffrey Rush), and The Patriot (Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger). After making her mark in Hollywood, Justine decided to follow her long held passion for public service and became a public high school teacher.  She earned her California teaching credential through the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Intern Program and taught English at El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills. A move to the Bay Area in 2006 concluded Justine’s work as an educator, but she continued her dedication to civic engagement and working with young people by becoming a Regional Coordinator of youth advisory councils for the United States Public Service Academy. The USPSA is an ongoing grassroots policy movement to create the country’s civilian counterpart institution to West Point and other military academies. Justine now plans to use her years of project management and hands-on experience working with youth to make a difference in the lives of the next generation.
