Geoff Cowan is president of the Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands, a nonprofit organization that convenes high-level conferences for world leaders to address global challenges. He is the former dean of the USC Annenberg School and remains a member of the faculty as a University Professor, the Annenberg Family Chair in Communication Leadership, and director of the USC Annenberg School's Center on Communication Leadership and Policy. Prior to becoming dean, Geoff served in a variety of high-profile positions, including as director of the Voice of America and chairman of the Los Angeles commission that wrote the city's ethics and campaign finance law. He is the author of several books, including “See No Evil: The Backstage Battle Over Sex and Violence on Television” and the best-selling “The People v. Clarence Darrow: The Bribery Trial of America's Greatest Lawyer.” He is a former television producer, playwright and a board member of the California HealthCare Foundation, Common Sense Media, and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, among others. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School.
